Techfest

Techfest Uganda displays some of the country’s most innovative technology initiatives, galvanizes the community, and empowers people. Their aim is to promote local technology communities and help organizations learn how to benefit from locally available skills, services, and products.

Fruits of Thought is presenting their project, Mapping Day on Friday 18th November, 2011 and joins the panel discussions as well. Read more

Vc4 Africa

VC4Africa is a social network focussing on investors and entrepreneurs who work on sustainable businesses in Africa. Besides the network, members can also decide to organize their own meet up.

The first meetup ever organized was in Kampala, in the Spring of 2008. The follow up in Kampala was organised on 26th October by Yvonne Munabi, of the Uganda Investment Authority, together with Reinier Battenberg, the Founder of Fruits of Thought.
